MagigenT4 UvsX protein, derived from T4 phage, is a homolog of RecA/Rad51 family.
The RecA/Rad51 recombinase family plays an important role in repairing the error-free of DNA double-strand breaks and restarting the stagnant replication fork.
T4 UvsX protein can be anchored on single stranded DNA (ssDNA) together with other recombinases (T4 UvsY), forms presynaptic filaments on ingle-stranded DNA (ssDNA) that are activated to search for homology in double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) and to exchange DNA strand, helps to further complete strand displacement.

Sealed and stored at -20 ℃, 12 months.
● Application
Magigen UvsX protein is used for recombinase polymerase amplification, RPA. T4 UvsX is important in genetic recombination, DNA repair, and replication. Possesses pairing and strand-transfer activity. Interacts with gene 32 proteins.
● Source: recombinant expression of Escherichia coli without endonuclease and exonuclease contamination.
● Storage solution: 20mM Tris HCl (pH7.9), 100mM NaCl, 0.5mM DTT, 1mM EDTA, 50% (v/v) Glycerol
● Inactivation or inhibition: incubate at 65℃ for 20min.
● Note: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended.
